Does this usually happen that you don't get an E-Sata cable with your mobo?
And another noob question...I see my case has a E-sata connector...can I connect a normal Sata cable from one of my Sata ports on my mobo to it?And how much does such a cable cost? And will it clash with my E-Sata connector on the back of my mobo?

Many thanks.....:D

I've never heard of any motherboard where you get an e-SATA cable in the box. It would be like giving you a USB or Firewire cable...

The ports on the cases are normally just a pass-through to an internal SATA connector that plugs into a port on the board, just like a hard drive, optical drive etc.

The ports on the back of the board are e-SATA, the plugs are slightly different from the internal ones. Cables are around R30-50 I think. And yes you can use all the internal & external ports at the same time, if that's what you're asking.

You don't usually get e-sata cables with motherboards, they usually come with the device that supports e-sata (like external hard drives etc.)
