Eden Park SAPS robbed at knifepoint

On Thursday, June 7 at about 00h30, four(4) female members were on duty posted at the Eden Park Client Service Centre.

Two unknown males entered the Clients Service Centre.

The two jumped over the counter and one of them pulled out a knife and ordered the members to hand over the safe keys and to move toward the cells.

One member handed over the safe key to the suspect.

The suspect with the knife escourted three members toward the cells.

One member was hiding under a table in the CSC.

The suspect with the key went and opened the safe.

Suspects then left the CSC and one member saw suspects running toward a white bakkie with Canopy.

The white bakkie sped off in moving in an unknown direction.

The members inspected the safe and found it standing open.

One R-5 Rifle and two empty R5 magazines were missing.

Getting robbed while in the Police Station, pathetic.

Just imagine one of these officers needs to defend you against a criminal.

They will run faster than you!
 
Why didn't they call ADT, AFAIK ADT has a huge contract to look after police stations?

Please someone tell me this is a joke. Surely, not even in South Africa would something like this happen. 2 Orcs with knifes overpowered how many cops? And it all happened where? OMG

Erm: 1 knife, 2 knifes vs 1 firearm. Don't get it, it's not even a question of should or shouldn't I ...
 
Funny when we had the death penalty in South Africa, and way back when police officers were still allowed to shoot and kill someone who committed a robbery, how we never read in newspapers about one or two criminals walking into a police station and robbing all the policemen at knife-point and then get away too..... just goes to show how the ANC managed to turn these bunch of people into playful pu$$ies.

The ANC did not "turn" them into anything. They completely replaced them according to BEE rules
 
Wow thats sad. How can they not be trained to deal with such situations. 4v2. really? just shoot the fkers dead.
 
Definitely time to get private security at all police stations , need someone to watch their backs while they sleep.
 
No fire-arms were pointed or produced by the suspects during the incident.

Strange they did not mention it, but neither was it done by armed policemen.....
