Edge?? 3G??

Ok here's the details:

BB9700 (OS6)
Cell C control chat contract
BIS Activated
Reside in Table View / Blouberg.

Why do I sometimes have 3G and sometimes EDGE??
It can change between the 3 to 4 times an hour.
It frustrating like hell.

Network coverage, when its on 3G you have 3G coverage and when its EDGE you have EDGE coverage, kinda thought that was explained by the symbols themselves but hey.

Yes, totally obvious, but what about EDGE and edge? Edge is deemed to be 2,5G, but is that EDGE or edge and then what is the other?

EDGE is bis edge is not, speed is irrelevant. Lowecase means your not using your BIS and any data transfer will be charged at normal data rates or deducted from any loaded bundle.

Why is it not constant??
Is it because it keeps switching between cell towers??

I would assume as much, normally i just left my berry on edge, 3g just wastes battery, especially considering how seldom you actually need it.
Things like walls and sheets of paper can also effect your signal quality.
