EDGE or 3g Cellphone

hi guys I'm looking to upgade my cell contract; any takes on EDGE/3g enabled fones available at the moment...

AFAIK 3g != Edge. Edge = 2.5G. Old technology.

i need a fone that supports edge or 3g as i find gprs speeds rather slow...thinking abt the se v600i but heard that is locked to vodafone...

Get a phone that does both EDGE and 3G. EDGE isn't available everywhere and so is 3G.

Currently there is no phone that does edge and 3 G. only data cards

I know the Nokia 6630 does EDGE and 3G but it is old. I have one that I don't use.

6680 has EDGE and 3g and so do all new nokia like N70 etc

Why even bother getting a 3G phone????? MTN's 3G Coverage is up to sh*t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
