Phoned Telkom last time this happened, spent an hour on the phone to hear (of course) that there is no problem with the line. Also complained to Openweb, who reset the port, had more intermittent problems then it went away for a few weeks, now back again.

Problem times - any time of day but early evening is a favourite particularly between 18h00 and 20h00, and with intervals a few weeks apart, but then lasting for days
