A client asked me to arrange for adsl so their accounting system (PACS) would be faster in communicating with FNB.

Fortunately I noticed that this doesn't work over adsl - only analogue or isdn dial-up.

Same goes for Cybertrade, medical claims over edi...

Why havent these been adapted for adsl access ?

Medical claims do work over ADSL.. I work for a EDI company.. and we doe transmission over ADSL :D

Great - so it is possible.

Do you know if it works with all medical edi submissions ?

I checked the Telkom site just to make sure I wasn't talking rubbish - and their Cybertrade Access product still doesn't work across adsl.

All depends on the system - ours is realtime to most M/A, just depends on M/A if they accept electronic realtime claims

Phone the service provider and ask them if the client can do EDI over ADSL.

EDI on dial-up is still rubbish and stupid, belongs to the stone age.

I also did EDI over dial-up as well - the service provider must be able to accept EDI over ADSL as well.

I know someone that uses a PMS (Practice management software) for medial aid claims and it works over adsl.

The software is based on Lotus Notes. www.e-md.co.za
