Greetings

I am looking for a way of making a shopping cart on a website that works along the lines of the Rebel Tech one, when you click on checkout it gives you a reference number and the bank details. you do an eft and then the goods are released. In other words, a way of doing online shopping without the site ever getting your bank details.

Has anyone ever done something like this and if so would anyone mind telling me if its possible to do it with an available plugin? Platform has yet to be decided but will most likely be Joomla.

It is for a mate of mine who wants to set up a small company overseas selling SA products and he has asked me to asssist. I am more along the lines of a hardware weenie who knows a bit of coding than a software whizz.

All help appreciated.

Build it with woocommerce and only enable EFT as the payment option.

Add in an instruction that users need to use the order number as reference when making payment.

Im not a fan of Joomla but each to their own.

Only reason I was leaning towards Joomla is that I have used it before. Like I said. Platform is still to be decided. If WP is better, I have no issues with going that route.

You can build a shopping cart with WooCommerce and just enable the EFT option.

Or you can automate it and sign up for a PayFast account and install the WooCommerce payfast plugin where clients can do Instant EFT with a reference number that automatically mark the order as paid and then sets it as processing.

I use it on my online shop and works like a charm.

Do you have it working for overseas accounts? Note, the OP wants to set up an international shop for SA products.

PayFast only works for orders in South African Rand. Normal EFT works with any currency though.
