I've been trying to register on the ehomeaffairs site to apply for a new smartcard ID (first time).

After entering my information, I recieve an error message saying: 'Take note of the following: Schema Failure'.
Though when I registered for my mum, her registration went through.

Does anyone know what this is about? Or also may have experienced it?

P.S. Have sent an email to the webmaster and the head office (links found on department's site)

P.P.S. Can't seem to be able to download the application form. Flash player does not work on my mobile and have no PC right now. So I cannot fill it in online. Are there alternative ways?

There are PC's in the eHome affairs "bank offices" that I have been in - a terminal where you can sign up, make appointments and so on.

Try a different browser as well.

Unfortunately I only came right with Internet Explorer.

Also try and clear out your cache - the fact that you did one registration means that it can work but the site might be caching something that is breaking the registration.

Sorry, I'm just trying to understand. Is this a pc at one of the banks registered with Home Affairs (ehomeaffairs) that one can use for the online application?

I don't have a pc, so I'm unable to use Internet Explorer. I have tried Firefox and Opera Mini. Seems IE may be the only browser that works.

Thank you, I'll have a look to see if there are any in my city.

Oh great, there are none in the Free State haha.
