Does anyone know if we are supplying more power to Botswana now that we were say last week? Or are we getting less from Cahora Bassa?

Alec Durwin said that we are not providing electricity to Zimbabawe and I think he is lying. Sure, it may not be going over the border at Messina but what if it went into Bots and then out the other end into Zim?

I doesn't really matter, we haven't had powercuts for quite a while now.
Everybody is happy.
Services will continue to improve until the next election.
Thereafter it is anybody's guess what will happen.

Actually we do have power cuts. We just don't see them in the cities because they are out at the mines.

Thank you.
Glad to see other people realise that eksdom have simply "hidden the problem from view".

Irwin said that we get 1200MW from Cahora Bassa but what he failed to mention was that about 900MW of this is re-exported back to Mozambique's Mozal aluminium smelter. There are no direct power lines from Cahora Bassa to Mozal and the only way to get power there is via South Africa.

And of the remaining 300MW, how much is lost in the transfer?
