JOHANNESBURG - A senior auditor in the City of Ekurhuleni has been shot and killed, sparking questions about the motive behind the attack.
The city’s head of forensic audits, Mpho Mafole, was gunned down on the R23 highway in Kempton Park on Monday.
Although the reason for the shooting remains unclear, police have launched a murder investigation.
Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi: "According to information received, the victim was driving on R23 road when he was shot by unknown suspect(s). The motive of the shooting is unknown at this stage and police investigations continue."
 
In a normal country, we could have assume that it was job related.

In this country, it could be, but it could also be just a case of wrong place wrong time.

Disagree, the guy was investigating missing billions! You are not in the wrong place at the wrong time when you are close to the source of a billion rand fraud!
