Elastix and Skype calls to Skype contacts

Hi All

Is it possible to setup a skype account on a PC, add skype contacts for normal skype to skype calls. Close skype on the PC and using this account to phone skype contacts from phone connected to the pbx.

In other words, phone skype contacts using their skype names?

you can but it will be via speed dials to be configured beforehand - so no on the fly dialing, you also need a windows based pc to host the skype/pbx interface software.

if you just want to receive calls from skype users, and make calls via skype out look at skype for business

I have heard of someone who did it. But Skype for Business would probably be a much better solution.
