[h=4]Job Description[/h]Job Summary
The eLearning Support Administrator plays a key role in building relationships with clients while providing online user support. The eLearning Support Administrator will assist the client with all their needs from basic support queries to manipulating Moodle themes by changing CSS.
Responsibilities and Duties
Moodle Administration

  • Administration of user databases.
  • Administrate support tickets logged by clients.
  • Administration of eLearning platforms and reporting of problems.
  • Administration of new courses
  • Compile eLearning system reports.
  • Using computers for compiling reports, word processing, desktop publishing and email;
  • Keep all business records stored in the correct location and file structure;
Moodle Technical support

  • Provide first and second line technical and user advice for a range of learning technologies, including the provision of technological advice on the use of learning technologies for teaching and learning
  • Document processes, system configuration and lessons learnt from fault resolution
  • Professionally respond to phone and email queries from customers in a timeous manner.
  • Effectively and eloquently answer customer enquiries and resolves problems.
  • Should be able to read debug code and provide support based on findings or assign to technical manager for complicated support
  • Should be able to systematically work through a problem and come to a solution.
  • CSS and basic PHP knowledge will be advantageous
Finance

  • Compile monthly reports
  • Assist Line Manager with quotes and invoicing
Confidentiality and Ethics

  • Keep business-related documents confidential;
Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications
Matric, Diploma, BTech or equivalent*(Computer Science, Information Technology or*other relevant topic)
Drivers license
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

  • Minimum*1 year*experience working with Moodle.
  • Understanding of Linux servers
  • Understanding of PHP
  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of at least one content management system.
  • Excellent Communication Skills and Language Proficiency English and Afrikaans (Speaking, reading and writing)
  • Can do, customer service-focused approach to tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time and task management skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Excellent eye for detail, meticulous and thoroughness are required
  • Excellent ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent computer skills*.
  • Excellent Internet proficiency and knowledge of how to use search engines.
  • Ability to prioritise work and complete projects within specified timeframe;
  • Excellent work ethics and attitude
  • Remarkable customer handling skills;
  • Relationship builder, ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills;
  • Diplomatic ability and excellent project management;
