Seems these goons just can't hide their real intentions.

DA MP Ian Davidson said supporters of his party were assaulted with pipes and bricks by ANC supporters outside the University of Johannesburg, where the debate was taking place, on Sunday night.
;
;
‘‘As a number of DA supporters took their seats, they were blocked by ANC supporters who sang ‘Block them this side, block them that side … we want to kill these dogs.’”

Animals, maybe we need a war here once and for all to sort this crap out. Lets go to battle, have our little civil war and then pick up the pieces and start again. :mad: Seems that this is what the ANC and their cronies want anyway.

Nothing will come of it ... there'll be an "investigation" by the party concerned and it'll be found that there is no proof that members were involved :rolleyes:

I'm casting my vote and then I'm done and dusted with this place . Time to move on a place where contributions are appreciated and differing opinions valued.
Sick of the intolerance ... sick of the crime ... sick of the lack of accountability ... sick of the culture of entitlement ... sick of the lack of consideration for others by people in general :(

Same here, it is common knowledge how I feel about this place and the people that are destroying it.
My papers are officially in and am waiting now although this may still take some time unfortunately :(

Lucky for me I have family in New Zealand and on their "short skills list" (bonus - two of my best mates are there too). Approval came through the end of last year... I'm gone end of June .

Beautiful country and the people are great

You guys are lucky.

I have no idea how to get out of here.

Have family in UK, Canada, US and Aus.

:(

There's your starting point, although I reckon you best chance would be Canada. Just make sure you are going for the right reasons and that you actually like the place you decide on. I don't think anything could be k@kker than leaving your home , friends and family only to finding that your new home doesn't suit your lifestyle

How do you guys get gaurenteed jobs overseas?? By knowing someone? Or should one just have enuf money to survive for a while and hope you can find a job ASAP when you arrive? I have a British passport, and Im in IT. Any European countries that have a shortage in IT staff, and don't mind taking english speakers "specifically"?

The chances that a tribal war will break out is high, there is a long list of historical tribal wars in Southern Africa.

As an ordinary South African, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to remain even slightly positive of the future of this country.

I want things to work out, I want democracy and civil behaviour to reign, but almost everything going down in this country contradicts my hope for a better, healthier and happier South Africa.

The very fact that Zuma will likely become president galls me, Malema and his generation of political science followers who don't have a clue what democracy and civil rights really mean.

The high matric failure rate is probably the fact that takes most of my hope away.

I had hoped that as education has its trickle down effect, a new educated and bright generation would step up and lead this country into a future where it should belong,
instead we're dealing with an inability of the majority of the population to understand what they're voting for and who cling to anti-colonialism, and would rather vote for a man who has proven to be a sneaky rascal
than for someone who is educated, wise and who can lead this complex society to a new level of existence.

I am not a big fan of doom and gloom, but what I see around me everyday
leaves almost no room for hope.

I am an ordinary citizin and don't live a bubble existence with 1 million rands worth of security, bulletproof windows and contacts in the justice and police departments.

Furthermore I feel like a walking target ( as in dead man walking ), I expect to be raped or murdered at any time, especially after the sun sets.

I will be making one last effort to help myself overcome the fear of living in South Africa, which is to learn a basic understanding of xhosa, but to be quite honest, my greatest secret desire is to get out.

I would suggest maybe starting a new thread on it ;)

But, some advice first...I went there and didnt have a whole lot experience (and was on 2 year visa) and I got into IT contracting quite easily.
The one time, I registered my CV on a recruitment website at an internet cafe and got phoned for a job on the bus home!

I had a really good working experience in London for IT, but up North I couldnt get anything...

Register with ElanIT and SpringIT, they were REALLY good. I had one contract starting literally as the previous finished.

Such a loser :D

What's the next country when some Maoris or Pacific Islanders will annoy you ? :D

Yesterday my sister was tormenting me claiming she'd employ me as her domestic servant over in London.
