Drove through the JHB CBD this morning, saw the DA election posters, picture of Helen Zille, the party logo and the words "Stem and Wen"

Stem and Wen? I think that is so lame.

Also majority of people in the CBD are black, why use afrikaans on every single poster? English would have been better, first prize different posters, at least english, afrikaans and maybe 1 or 2 african languages?

DA supporters what do you think?

In Cape Town they seem to be staggering these. Sure, they've swamped the towns with them, but they have one Xhosa, one English, one Afrikaans and then it repeats - nearly all showing black people on them.

Staggering them would be the way to go, but seems they have different ideas in the CBD

Depends on who they hired to put the posters up.
There's probably a pile of posters in English and Xhosa lying in a river somewhere nearby ...

LOL, spending so much on posters you think they would hire competant people or go and check on these things.

All the English posters have Helen on them... not sure how black she is?

Just remember the average intelligence of the electorate in this country, simple is better. Those who are above election posters will know the real issue of the vote, these are not those who the DA is appealing to to "Stem en Wen".

In the Jhb CBD with only "Stem and Wen" posters, just who is the DA trying to appeal to?

Does a poster make much of a difference on the persons decision ? You can make an ANC poster look as nice as you want but that wont affect my vote.

Agree its not going to affect my vote either, yet political parties are spending a fortune on these things. They are everywhere.

Again, those posters are targeting a certain type of voter. Most people on this forum are informed about the issues and unlikely to have their vote swayed by a poster.

Since she's the leader, of the DA, the Mayor of Cape Town and prospective Premier of the W.Cape, I expect they had to put her botoxed mug on something.:p

Has anyone seen any TV ads for the DA? I heard one on the radio... It was super lame.

got to love the VF posters in Pretorius street in Pretoria! its behind a DA one
"Afrikaanse Christen waardes"!

I use to love the old NA one that said "vang hulle en hang hulle" I doubt they even exist.

The COPE posters are yet to have a face to them. Is COPE perhaps still ngotiating with a pretty face to put up there?
