OK, so it's not food, cooking or recipes... but it's close. You can use hot water in cooking, ammirite?

Anyway, I have a Bennet-Read 4.8l electric flask thing. It's frigging awesome. Hot water always on tap even during power outages, 800w element so can use it on the generator, convenient, efficient and all that.
Also, broken.
Contacted the suppliers and it's been discontinued for a LONG time, no spares left etc.

So, does anyone know of any similar alternatives? I can't believe there is not a profusion of these things on the market!

I've seen similar flasks at Checkers and other stores. Look in the department selling kettles.

Does this bring water to a boiling point?

wonder if you get a small urn...

Good news! The Bennett Read smart flask is back on the market. I was also looking for one for a few years since I've seen it at a friend's house.
It is a Tevo product. Available at Makro, Takealot and Tevo itself. R999.

I bought 7 of these for friends etc..... was happy to bump into this product last weekend at Makro.
