Electric Window Problem

I had after market electric windows installed about 4 years ago.... now the motor is turning but the window doesnt open - apparently it's some linky gadget thing that is broken but the place that did it for me wants R1500 to fix it - anyone got any ideas in jhb where I can take it for a reasonable price

Just the one... Can hear the motor going but the window not moving

What vehicle? Can't you undo the door cards and have a look. Might just be a loose screw or bolt...

Aftermarket eclectic windows....its that a common after market fit for the older cars.

Costing & reliability...hmm

It's a Renault Sandero... I am clueless with cars so need to pay someone to fix it...

Why not carefully open the door cover and see, maybe it's just unhooked or a minor fix. Just be careful when removing the clips as they do break easily.

Sometimes it just needs a lube. My bro's Civic window was acting up & the dealership just sprayed some kind of aerosol lube on it.

take it to your regular mechanic down the road and ask them to have a look, it might be a simple thing, if he fix it you'll be able to negotiate on the price
