Since my first post was an EPIC fail, let's do this properly.
Item wanted: Mechanical Parking Meter
Purpose: Inner workings to be explained in a video on my Youtube channel
Condition: Fair, must still work
Price I am willing to pay: R500
Will collect? Yes, if you are in Gauteng
Item wanted: Small Pole Transformer
Description: I am looking for an old pole transformer, a small one, for electrical experiments. It must still work although if it has a bit of a problem i.e. aged windings I don't mind that is OK.
Condition: fair
Reason: To generate 11kV at > 400mA for electrical destruction experiments.
Will collect: Yes, since this thing is heavy we can discuss this.
Price to pay? No idea what these things go for, but I do know they get thrown away for scrap metal and certain individuals rip them apart for the copper to sell. They cost R70k brand new, this much I know, but become practically worthless when end-of-life.
