Hi

Could someone please advise me what to do.

I was away in April for two weeks yrt my electricity bill for my house came to R98000, who in their right mind would consume so much of electricity and to add to this I was not even around. I also mainly use gas and the only source of power I use is for lights and geyser.

To make matter worst, in the same month, my water account came to R72000. I am at my wits end trying to resolve this issue.... Any advise?

Thank u!

Go into your local council office and take it up with them.

Sometimes they estimate, you can see the quantity they charge you for and compare it with your actual readouts.

Seems like some other mistake

eh...first step...get a big reserve water tank and stock up on gas.

Municipalities generally have a "pay first, dispute later" policy which is retarded yes...but point is prepare for that.

Seems highly suspicious that both water and lights are unreasonably high during the same month while you are away...
