Just one more way in which the government shows they care not about what things are like for the avarege South African, but really about what it looks like on the surface. :mad:
 
How about they re-wire the bloody traffic lights by 2010?!?! Transport, Medical and Communication *must* have electricity even if the entire rest of SA is cut off.

The other thing is, they can always organize with the big manufacturers/aluminum smelters to take a vacation during that time in return for big $$$.
 
My dad is busy installing generators for about 500k at the moment at some office because one of the share traders decided they can't put up with this Eskom ****.

Don't you think the government needs a kick up the butt not the people? After all how many people can actually afford "sustainable electricity generation at home" in this country?

As far as I am aware, 'domestic' consumption is only around 30% of total. I am sure that is *exactly* what they will be doing. After all, the wekkas at the aluminium smelters want a paid holiday to watch soccer, don't they?
