Need some testers for my new electroneum pool. Site needs polishing (display wise) but is operational.

My single 1070 and some other measly hardware are going to take 4 to 5 months to find a block, I would like to test from the stage of connection to payout being received and in miner's wallet.

www.viralmike.com/etn

Fee set to 0.01% (will remain as such until 1/1/18) , min payout 0.01 ETN

Payout every 10 minutes and maturity depth of 3 blocks.

Examples:

cpuminer -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://viralmike.com:3333 -u etnkNMRieehKZrYCWUmymv1uzsy5coFFJ3rKvEFNcqgx8E43ac bmyW76AKF2c5Tp5QNzjYdD1nVe3DmvSFZ7FNjd6Js8zox7mc -p x

(tsiv cryptonight build for ccminer: [ windows executable ] [ linux version needs to be built from source ]
Or any build with cryptnight enabled (you may have to specify -a cryptonight)

ccminer -o stratum+tcp://viralmike.com:3333 -u etnkNMRieehKZrYCWUmymv1uzsy5coFFJ3rKvEFNcqgx8E43ac bmyW76AKF2c5Tp5QNzjYdD1nVe3DmvSFZ7FNjd6Js8zox7mc -p x

or any cryptonight friendly miner...

Difficulty is determined by the average number of hashes needed to solve a block, as more miners connect the difficulty goes up in accordance. This ensures that the smaller guy gets a chance to solve a block by spending more time per workload, i.e. more hashes before submitting a share. This also decreases network traffic and bandwidth usage.

There are three groups/'pools' of difficulty category, this ensures that high end hardware does not not push up the difficulty too high and leaving low end hardware taking too long to process a workload.

Note that difficulty adjusts and you submit more work per share as time passes (thus you may see less shares submitted by your miner over time) and can adjust back down as well.

For starting difficulty you can choose among these ports:

3333 for low end hardware
5555 for mid range hardware
7777 for high end hardware

I need to get my rig set up again, moved over the weekend and every damn thing is in stuck in the garage. I've been putting it off, but you've given me some motivation :p

I am going to leave the pool unadvertised until 4pm (Monday 18/12), if we can not push up the hashrate to solve a block in reasonable time by then I am going to get more people in from abroad.

Managed to connect in, it's not much but something I guess

What is your estimate of a "reasonable time"?

What is your estimate of a "reasonable time"?

4.5 hours to 8 hours.

That means we have to push up overall hashrate for the pool to 0.2 MH/s to 0.4 MH/s

I doubt that is going to happen.

If anybody has input regarding keeping it local to an extent versus opening up to a broad userbase please reply here. In general I don't think there are any real benefits to not opening up / advertising to more miners.

Not sure about local vs international, but this thread hasn't been up for very long. Hopefully more peeps see it and join

Advertised on Bitcointalk, should see some incoming miners in the next couple of hours...

If the bigger guys locally can push up the rate a bit that would detract from others turning away.

No uptake as of yet.

I need some advice on making the site more lucrative, especially in design.

I have added an Electroneum ticker, which is currently static and does not update but will add some javascript to refresh.

I also intend to modify the pending payout amount to show approximate worth in USD and BTC in sync. with the ticker.

People are drawn to pools with high hashrates as they get results faster, I seriously need some support on this. If possible fire up those rigs tonight and leave them until America wakes up and then some...

Thank you for the support so far.

Hopefully it will trigger some others or the pool is damn lucky and finds a block. It's a lot of hashrate to just not have earning.
