Installed it a few minutes ago. I still have to mess around with it to see how everything works. I'm used to Ubuntu with Unity. Elementary will take a little bit of getting used to but I'm sure I'll like it.

It's great once you get the hang of it. It's minimal so there'll be a few things you'll be missing, but its based off 14.04 so its a cinch to get those packages.

Freya's still buggy though, my experience so far:
1. Slight screen tearing, especially in Midori
2. After dragging an app onto the plank, a "shadow" of the icon of said app follows your mouse cursor.

The default file manager now does support windows shares, so that's good. Two finger scrolling is reversed now; used to be down to scroll down, now its down to scroll up.
Otherwise, I'll check the extent of dual monitor support later this week.

Either way, it'll take some time for this one to become my daily driver, definitely dependent on an update fixing my bugs.

I'm using Ubuntu 14.10 as my every day OS but i'm busy testing out several other distros at the moment. I got myself a second PC just for testing out stuff and i've so far installed Ubuntu, Ubuntu Mate, Mint and Elementary. Voyager is also another interesting distro i'm playing around with.

BTW: have you seen the new 2015 Dell XPS Developer Edition? Droolworthy.

If you type a lot the thinkpad carbon x1 might be a better option, apparently the keyboard on it is awesome.
