Hey people,

I just wanted to post some feedback for Elitehost.co.za.

Originally I registered a co.za domain with paradigm (paraplegic) for our new site.

It took 3 months to discover they would not help with ANY Name server changes:confused:

I then found elitehost.co.za.

I contacted them, and within a week I had transferred my registrar to them.

In two days they sorted everything out, boom click, site works.

After an extended time in R&D, we swapped to a VPS. Again Elitehost.co.za sorted everything out.

We have just gone "live" properly, and had a problem with the VPS provider, so changed to a new provider.

Now, I think you will all understand the backwards procedures and requirements from co.za (Crumbs the .com sites were working in 12 hrs!!!)

Our site has been off line for a week now, due to our new VPS providers not understanding the co.za requirements.

During this time, Elitehost.co.za have tirelessly helped with every aspect, even trying to guide the new VPS provider as to what was needed re DNS & rDNS settings.

What I have discovered is that Jason from Elitehost knows more than the bloody "experts" off shore.

So, in summary, all I can say is that if you are looking for a provider or a domain registrar, PLEASE check these guys out, they have the knowledge and the will to help you out.

lastly, Jason if you read this one day, Thanks a million, you seem to be the only person I have dealt with 2 years who knows what the hell is going on for co.za sites

From you favourite ID10T.

:D:D:D:D

Hello Kokop,

Unfortunately the guys in the US don't know about the requirements for COZA domains, things like reverse dns etc all need to be setup correctly. It would help a lot if there requirements were dropped and we could actually add child namesevers to co.za domains.

Anyway, Thanks for the positive feedback, we strive to deliver a friendly and professional service even if it's just a domain registration :)

Hey Jason,

I cannot thank enough over the last year and a half.

Professional, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Nuff said.

Keep the good work up Jason;)

They just get better and better.

Seriously, if you whant a co.za domain or hosting, these guys know their ****.

cannot recommend them enough

Just found out about these people, so also going to give them a shot, their local rates look decent enough.
Anyone else using them, this thread has been sleeping for the last 2 years.

Under a new name but same person as the OP.

once again, moved my business server to Elite, painless (except for my Chairman)

Sorry to resurect this thread but Elite deserve credit where credit is due.

Thanks again Elite, web/mail now local,

Brilliant servise

paraplegic

^^ This! Haha.

Moved to EliteHost a while ago, and am physically (and mentally) unable to look back. Still have a few sites to move over to them once client-contracts are to be renewed.

I'm confident that EliteHost will not travel to the dark abyss that Afrihost is headed. (Edit: they're pretty much already there...)

As far as I know elitehost won't be dabbling in reselling ADSL at rock bottom prices or partnering with MTN ;) I'll jump ship the moment they start doing some crap like that and lose focus on their roots (which Afrihost STILL denies they haven't lost, yet, no support when a server goes down)

Agreed. I just get the gut feeling EH won't ever go in that direction. They appear to be the kind of company who wants to grow, but wants to do it right. And even better, they know how to do it right.

And EH shall not accept any offers to purchase/merge, under any circumstances, whatsoever.

:D
