Ellies Inverter voltage

Bit of a noob with this ,I got a 1440W/2400VA Ellies Inverter , my question is what should the battery voltage read , my one is stuck at 220volts , should it read 224volts?
 
Surely it is using 12/24v batteries?

Edit: Yep, using this as reference, it should read ~24V. Are you sure you are not reading the output voltage or the input eskom voltage?
 
The 220v is not the battery voltage but the mains supply.

That is the input/output reading from the unit, not the batteries. I guess 220V is fine. Why would you want/expect 224 exactly?
 
Nothing wrong with that
My Mecer inverter runs at 230V and 50Hz exactly
