On the DSTV forums it is shown that these sell for R70 at MC. However, my friendly neighbourhood MC agency sells them for the low low price of "only" R190-R199. How do I get them at R70 when I live outside Gauteng (my nearest big centre)?

And if I happen to be in JHB where can pick up one at normal prices instead of the South Africa Prices.

The recommended prices for parts and installations on the MC website, is normally a little optimistic. A more realistic retail price for the original MC TVlink is around R150, while the clones from Space and Ellies should retail for around R115.

Don't really know that part of the world... but you can try SpaceTV in JHB, Randburg or Pretoria.

It really is crazy the markup that people put on tv links. In the past 2 years I have purchased 4 tv links from the multichoice office at N1 city in cape town for R70 each. I have seen the ellies ones at my local spar for around R150 each and while back I was at space tv in brackenfell and they were selling MC tv links for R199.

When you have 3 tv's it is crazy paying so much. You can get a dstv decoder and have it installed for almost the same price as 3 tv links from some places.

check with sone of your local installers, My brother in law got one for R80 where he lives from the installer , I mean not as cheacp as MC but the guy only made R10 profit?
