Hi,

I think a client of mine's email addy or domain has been blacklisted by the MWEB spam filter. I have tried to talk to MWEB about this, but their customer service is pretty much up the creak. If I could find the paddle I would beat them with it.

Does anyone know what list they use, or is it internal?

Help greatly appreciated...

Ask support to give you the abuse report email address and ask them to put that specific email address into white list (they won't unblock the whole domain, I tried), and that should allow your client's email to pass through.......

Most of our emails from China was blocked because of the spam problems, So we setup a gmail account for our office(small so that's why we don't have our own systems) there before we can receive any correspondences.......

This is the company that (a few years ago) prevented subscribers to other dial-up providers from accessing DSTV listings "because it was premium content for Multichoice subscribers" ... not caring that by having DSTV you were a Multichoice subscriber.

What's really annoying about this is that the sender never gets a rejection report and the receiver can't review the messages that MWEB thinks are 'spam' based on their flaky spam engine, they just get dumped. So a company using MWEB mail services may never know they got that all-important email which will make them their next million dollars

Kinda makes the whole SMTP redundancy thing a bit pointless.
