I use a GMail email address. What I used to do when I was still on 56k (mweb) till about june this year is set GMail up to forward to my mweb address. This allowed me to download my gmail from mweb.

In my email account settings in Outlook I set my mweb accounts from address as my gmail address. Thus when I replied to my email downloaded on the account it would come from my gmail address and be sent with the mweb smtp server. This allowed me to use pop/smtp without the problem of slow int bandwidth.

Now I want do the same on adsl as many times there are issues contacting pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com. But I can't get the sending part to work. I use imaginet and my smtp server is smtp.saix.net.

So basically I want to send via smtp.saix.net, but not using my imaginet email address in the from field.

Always use the SMTP server closest to you. In your case it would be:

smtp.saix.net

(smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net is forwarded to smtp.saix.net)
