hiya everyone

when my dad signed up for adsl he was told that checkin email doesn't count towards your cap. makes sense for telkom email, but what about web based email, specifically gmail & yahoo? also, i use office outlook 2007 to download my email from gmail & yahoo. does that make any sort of difference? someone who worked at telkom told me that traffic through skype(downloading, talking, etc) doesn't count towards ur cap because it doesn't go through ur internet exchange(ISP). is this true. if so does it apply to p2p apps such as kazaa or limewire. i couldn't find this info anywhere

both - any data that flows through your line gets added towards your cap.

but after u capped, telkom emails still work...so maybe they meant that
