eMail Setup

Hi Guys,
I'm using Thunderbird as an email client, now when I plug my E220 into my pc I can receive messages but cant send, my settings are wrong, can any body help me with setting up the E220 to send and receive email. My email account is a telkom one.

Thanks, I did search for the info but I must be blind or lazy
 
Apparently people have been having a lot of trouble using that (overloaded?) MTN server recently, so if that doesn't work, try the network's 'alternative' smtp address: mail.mtnloaded.co.za. Though with that one I've been finding a lot of my e-mails being bounced back as spam....
 
You have to change the SMTP server you're using (when connected via your MTN connection)

In Thunderbird:
Tools-> Account settings -> outgoing SMTP -> add mail.mtn.co.za

You have to use the SMTP according to your current connection. Say you are connected via your Telkom ISP internet connection - you have to use their ISP's SMTP to send mail.

I have he same problem. I can send with all my private own domain name email accounts accept with one domain. There is no problem with my connection. For some reason mail.mtnloaded.co.za and mail.mtn.co.za would not send email for one of these domains.

The error is:
Task '?????@???? - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Could anyone please advice me.

Does your domain not have an authenticated smtp server?

Nor can I. Have tried all of the above with no luck. I can receive email but cannot send.
I can send from the MtnLoaded website but not from my phone or from my laptop OE.

My phone downloads the settings automatically ( WM6.0) and the Incoming mail is:
mail.mtnloaded.co.za:110
The outgoing is:
mail.mtn.co.za:25
 
:mad:I cant login to mtn email on my cellphone : it says unsecure login. I have all the settings but it has never worked. Im using a Samsung i560 on MTN.
