Beware any offerings of email to fax:

After spending R200 on experimenting at this on service supplier he finally told me:

"Hallo

What we picked up is that you are using thunderbird to send faxes and
thunderbird isn't compatible with our system if you are using linux we
rather suggest the mail client called Evolution. But if you are using
Microsoft we recommend Outlook or Outlook Express. With thunderbird it
convert the encoding of the attached documents and then our servers doesn't
send the faxes correctly.

Regards"

Rather try something called FaxFX!
There is so many advantages of printing to your fax server!
And they are definitly faster and cheaper than my previous service supplier.

And I do not mind giving superior service in South Africa a bit of Good Talk!

Those that try them - ENJOY!

South African Service Delivery Standards

You dont work for FaxFX by any chance?

I wish I could work for a efficient service supplier again! ;)

Mmmh..
I though I would get tapped on the toes about this but believe me after wasting money on my ignorant trust in service delivery I just had to warn YOU about the problems I experienced and the pleasant solution!

Do yourself a favour and have a look at my new fax service! (no link this time - look for it yourself:rolleyes:)

Like I said: In South Africa that is known for it's excellent service standards this was a real nice surprice!

Anyway I am in The Slowveld and they are in the "Gangsters Paradise"

This is the last of my fax service rantings on "Latest Happenings > Consumerism"

Enjoy your current fax service supplier if you are happy with them! :p

Cheers,

Neville

For a Windows lover like me, seems that I should be happy, as they would cater for my outlook and i guess most of the users out there? but i do understand your point.

wax on, wax off

"Grasshopper - wax on, wax off!"
I am also using "windose" - with Thunderbird!
Why must I use a program that is not fulfilling in my needs, the same with service providers!

If you know anything about fax services, which I do NOW (a little bit), you will see the difference in service delivery with FaxFX! (and less expensive!)

When you want to fax it is like printing - no emailing and coding and converting and compatibility problems!

Like I quoted Mr. Miyagi from Karate Kid:
"Grasshopper - wax on, wax off!"

We all learn in the School of Live - some just pay a lot more tuition!

Best of luck with your training Grasshopper!

Maybe you should try the world of GNU General Public License - You may be surprised at what is out there, FREE, GRATIS and FOR NOTHING!
I dare you to do a search on the subject and try some of the utilities available, just maybe you will start something new because now you can afford it!

I am babbling again - go have a look in the forums - cheers.:o
