Send an eMail from any registered eMail account to any MTN subscriber.
How do you get it?
As a registered user of this website you can send up to five emails to any MTN subscriber per day using the eMail address you used when you joined this site. Only this eMail address will be accepted.
How does it work?
Sending a message:
All MTN subscribers’ cellphone numbers have a corresponding eMail address: (cellphone number)@sms.co.za. Using this address you’ll be able to send a short 140 character message to any MTN cellphone.
The subject plus the body of the eMail together must not exceed 140 characters (this includes all punctuation and spaces).
Replying to a message:Replying to a message works in exactly the same way as replying to any other SMS. However, the message cannot exceed 160 characters.
What does it cost?
This is a free service to all MTN subscribers.
