Months ago iBurst forced users to use their outgoing mail server (SMTP) address to the iBurst server. I now get messages from all the servers that

Query bl.spamcop.net - 196.2.97.2

(Help) (Trace IP) (Senderbase lookup)
196.2.97.2 listed in bl.spamcop.net (127.0.0.2)

If there are no reports of ongoing objectionable email from this system it will be delisted automatically in approximately 11 hours.

Causes of listing
System has sent mail to SpamCop spam traps in the past week (spam traps are secret, no reports or evidence are provided by SpamCop)
Additional potential problems
(these factors do not directly result in spamcop listing)

System administrator has already delisted this system once
Because of the above problems, express-delisting is not available

Listing History
In the past 25.7 days, it has been listed 2 times for a total of 28 hours
Dispute Listing
If you are the administrator of this system and you are sure this listing is erroneous, you may request that we review the listing. Because everyone wants to dispute their listing, regardless of merit, we reserve the right to ignore meritless disputes.

Anyone else getting this message?
Can one use our own SMTP servers again?

(I will give it a try later this week, currently not at home)

Thanks

Where did you get that IP address? I am using smtp.wbs.co.za (196.30.31.203), and never had any problems

EDIT: That IP address you have there seems to be an internal iBurst one

I have no idea where that IP come from.
In my outlook express, the Outgoing mail (SMTP) is set as: smtp.wbs.co.za

the email I am getting is from: [email protected]
And the error message was from the receiving mail server.

Ir appeared that the wbs server is on a SPAM list?

bosveld, the error you are getting is not the WBS smtp server being blacklisted, as it is not referencing the mail IP, but rather than your machine's IP on the iBurst network.

Do a nslookup smtp.wbs.co.za in a command window, and see what the result is. Also try to replace smtp.wbs.co.za in the smtp server section of your mail client with the IP address I posted in my previous post.
