Ematic 4K tv box not coming up

I bought the device yesterday, but when I tried powering it up , it just say can not obtain config file, please reload and try again

Return it to the supplier for a replacement.
They are good boxes, I am running 2 although the one is on its way out after 2+ years.

Mine is still strong after 3.5 years. And their support was very responsive.

think the remote on mine is giving up, replaced batteries and red lights appears when press the buttons but often doesnt reflect on TV and its 2m away and nothing blocking it.

Try Google TV app, it has a remote built-in, works over wifi.
