Emergency dentist pretoria

I woke up this morning at 4am with the worst jaw pain. Figuring it must be an abscess caused by wisdom teeth.

I was looking for an emergency dentist in pretoria to get some antibiotics until I can get a proper consultation in the new year, found that I could make an appointment online at Intercare mall@55 for 9am this morning.

Hoping this information is useful to someone else.

I will reply with the cost later.

I also just got antibiotics, pain and antiflamotories - had to wait till swelling went down before I could proceed further, so in all likelihood they won't fix everything just yet. Either going to be they remove the tooth or root canal. If it is the latter they will do an emergency root canal and the final part a month or so later.

Thanks for the details.

So the dentists at Intercare dont work on sundays. The booking system still allows for bookings to be made :(

I tried dr Nel, but the voicemail says she is only available from the 27th again.

I also tried every other place. Seems like i’m stuck with this pain until after the public holidays
 
Get voltaren or k-fenak and dose yourself.
That'll see you over as it helped me plenty.
Maybe some Adcodol as well.
 
The pharmacist gave me adcodol and panamore. I just hope I dont get a fever.
 
Get yourself oil of cloves, put a drop or two on cotton wool and place on the sore tooth. It works.

This is my go to option for any dental pain. Didnt work this time. The meds seem to be working, thanks Hemi!
 
And do mouthwash with bicarb and salt every 2/3h + a mouthwash with soda water after. It will clean around the abscess (I had an open abcess last year and my dentist recommended that in the meanwhile)
 
Interesting how life has changed. In the 80's your only option over x-mast was go to HF Verwoerd casualties or PTA West hospital, or get drunk and stay drunk, oooh wait no legal alcohol was sold on a Sunday or x-mast.

Sorry that you didn't come right. This is literally the worst time for something like this to happen. Hopefully you can wait it out till you can get an emergency appointment

Money man, she's a pain in the buttocks....


Had a rotten Tooth yanked by a student there last year september... I was only trying to get rid of my impacted wisdom tooth.(Very attractive student too weak to pull the tooth unfortunately. Chipped my one molar twice and cut my gums up with her attempts not; too mention she couldnt even press hard enough to reach the roots. Then teach comes -- felt like there wasnt enough

So I finaly get a place at life hospital.....and the lil sucker who has been causing me torment and hours of draining hrly.... Cannot say how nice it is not to have that fowl taste anymore....Too embarrassed and grossed out by yourself to even talk to other people or go out....

My only prob now is the stitching broke 4 days after surgery. I have to keep making little gause pads with cotton wool and paper towels. Replace constantly cuz when it mooshes out totaly the wound stays stagnant and starts to collect bacteria... if that gets into your clot.... Oh man all hell is gonna break lose.... I Blame my bracers and counter strike 1.6. Hah for the current state of my molars... I have one real one left :(...

Dudes, peoples of the webs....If you ever get into a similar situation as me... Marshals drops-- directly onto the nerve and kill that weak betraying cowardly bastard! Hah no jk.... Burns abit but numbs it good and solid...

Better than Vicodin--- is Oxycontin + Hydrocodone in warm water..... Dont drink it too fast--- kinda like a good scotch! :P or you get the sweats and itch like crazy!
