I'm going to create a database (I believe putting it in a spreadsheet will be sufficient) of generator (including accessories and deep cycle batteries) suppliers, pricing and specifications.
The most important information would be contact details of suppliers, pricing, how long they have been in business and where they are willing to ship to and/or install at.
So, if the information for a specific company can't be found online, please go there and get it from them. Remember to ask about accessories, such as manual/automatic change over switches, extended exhausts and so forth.
For example, Sky Go has an office in Stellenbosch, and lists their products online, but do not offer pricing online, which also goes for a few other suppliers. ( If I end up buying a generator instead of a deep cycle battery, it would probably be a Kipor Sinemaster. Reports say that it gives clean power, noise is 64dB max, and has smart throttling )
We could also really use feedback on the quality of service received from various suppliers.
