Emergency Windows 10 security update

Microsoft has released a fix for a critical security issue that allows attackers to execute malicious code capable of spreading throughout networks without interaction from users.

The patch was rolled out because while the flaw isn't easy to exploit reliably, it still opens up the possibility that big networks can be exploited by wormable attacks similar to the WannaCry exploit.

It would vastly improve the value of these reports IF the actual KB number of the patch is quoted in the reports or artucle.

At least MS fixed it before it could be used.

There will always be bugs... nature of the beast.

Yeah, there will always be bugs, but MS have always been heavy handed with the bug shaker, and more recently unacceptably so.

As for before it could be used, not so sure. It has been around more than a month that I am aware of, and probably a few more before then. So shrug ...

I woke up to the blue screen of death this morning. Rebooted my laptop and saw it had an update. It would be nice if they didnt crash your hardware in the process of the update.

Not exactly the same but when I booted my PC up it was sitting on the Mobo splash screen for way too long and then went dark for 2 minutes. When it finally booted into Windows I saw an update. My PC should never take this long to boot because it has an NVME M.2 SSD. Thanks Microsoft
