Empty Volume between the boot and OS partitions - how to remove it?

I have a client that inherited a virtualised Windows Server 2012R2 server.
The disk VHDX file consumes in nearly 1TB with this 465GB empty/unallocated volume.
I suspect the original physical disk was mirrored? Or had another disk drive there?
Regardless, how can we remove this empty/unallocated volume without trashing the integrity of the whole system?
And ideally, not having to fork out thousands of Rands for a one-off exercise for AOMEI or the like.
DISKPART is dark magic with no real step-by-step instructions to be found or even if it is at all possible?

Solution: Weirdly, I used this command today after running a garbage collection job on a dedup volume:PS G:\vhdx> resize-vhd FILES2-DATA.vhdx

Try one of the Partition managers in Hirens BootCD, It may be easier though to create another VHDX and simply clone the partition over.

Hirens has a couple of apps some support MBR and others UEFI depending on the VM config.

Create a checkpoint before fiddling or make a backup of the disk just in case
