Troubles with the Electronic National Traffic Information System (eNatis) are now a thing of the past and the system has proved to be operating far better than expected, says transport minister Jeff Radebe.

Speaking during a parliamentary media briefing yesterday, Radebe said: “I am told that eNatis is one of the best, if not the best, system of its type in the world.”

E-natis system off-line
Cape Town traffic officials have appealed to Capetonians to be patient as their online administration system is down.

The state of the art E-natis system is currently off-line and authorities say they’re not sure how long it will take before it will be up and running again.

City traffic's Merle Lourens says despite this, all traffic departments should be open to the public.

Curiouser and curiouser....

I have heard a third force has sabatoged e-natis...

oooo, just heard, quick update...its the "right wing"

oooo, sorry, can't keep up, new update, its apartheid...

Racist! :D Enatis only works in wonderland!

"" ...even if a person has enough money to buy it,” Radebe said."

What does the traffic department have to do with the balance in my bank account?
Thought only SARS has "Limited" access to that?

Yes, in the second article it could be the WAN (wide area network) that is the problem at that side, I dont know who runs it (maybe SITA), but if you get to a Home Affairs office and all the PCs cant be used for doing whatever and its not the power that is down, its probably a fault somewhere on the "date line" and that can be Telkoms fault or the cable was stolen or whatever.
