They can claim whatever they like, but eNatis is not performing as it should - or that is the impression I got this morning.

I had an appointment with the Centurion lisensing offices for 8:45 to renew my drivers lisense.

I arrived at 8:30 and had a wee bit of trouble getting past the snaking queue and security.

At 8:35 I was at the right window to start paying whatever they wanted. Only 2 people were in front of me.

8:45 a friendly lady called me out of the queue for the admin procedures for which I had the appointment. 5 Minutes later it was completed and she saw to it that I got back my old spot in the queue - still the same 2 people in front of me.

The clerk behind the payment counter was eager to work - but could not because of the speed of eNatis. He had to wait minutes for the screen to change and then jumped to the opportunity to do some work.

Around 8:55 the first person in front of me was finished with what was needed - that is 20 minutes after I joined the queue.

The next person was quite quick to complete his business - a mere 15 minutes that took us to 9:10 - and the eager clerk started with my lisence renewal and completed it at 9:25.

Only two transactions were involved: Application for a new drivers lisense card and the issuing of a temporary drivers lisence.

The queue was growing longer quite fast...

My perception is that eNatis management is lying when they claim that all is under control. At the rate transactions are completed, it won't be long before the queues are out of control.
