Encrypting instant messages

Are there any IM clients that can encrypt the conversations? Need to find one soon. TIA.

Most likely the IM's that do encrypt won't be very good, the US doesn't take kindly to the practice (it is associated with people that want to hide something, AKA terrorists, at least that is their take on it).

But that is actually a awesome idea, when I have some free time I'm gonna do a Rijndael Jabber just to annoy the US.

Its for msn.. but I think you might find secway do other IMs.

Trillian does it for ICQ but the other person must have Trillian as well.
