ENERGY DRINKS - good and bad

I am curious which energy drink you guys think is best for staying awake late nights and getting up with almost no sleep

best i ever tried is pirate energy drink-it has the highest caffeine and energy than all the energy drinks u get in sa-but energy nice and cosistant with no crash.anybody tried it?

IMO all energy drinks are harmful.

because it is unnatural and all chemical.

You become so unproductive when tired anyway that's its more beneficial to get your essential sleep.

When you miss a good night of sleep your reactions are slowed by as much as ten percent.

you will be able to think clearly and be more alert if you get proper sleep.

Some discipline and time management might also help, so you don't have to stay up late.

ok..i dont use an energy drink to stay awake..i use it before i play rugby..USN Spike gives the most kick..lol!

I went about 4 days on coke cola and choclates, noodels and coffe with loads of sugar. Your tummy gets fukd... You must sleep for body functions... or you will feel sh*t and rly rly p*ssed off and sick on the 4th day. I went 5days playing wow once but ja not a good idea! I was use to 2-3days but I avoided the light and coffe with lots of sugar helped. Energade works wonders. Depends what you do, sit watch serries and farm xp in wow or use your brain lol? I could never even last 2days if I had to use my body

The problem is when sleep is not an option. eg. Working on projects, bodyguarding, etc etc.

None of the energy drinks available do it for me, I used to take a lot of ephedrine, which is now not available in pharmacies anymore. That seems to be the only thing that ever helped keep me awake.

the pirate is the best on the sa market - no doubt

more caff per serving than spike or red bull or play etc

you get 2 serv of that per bottle-and they sell at engen garages for R15 a bottle - 7.50 per drink - GREAT!

I use Turbovite... Its natural and very safe to use..

BTW I previously drank Red Bull, But heard somewhere from sources saying that the formula is bad for you... Dunno how valid it is...
The Play energy Drink is also very effective.

I had one on Friday around lunch time, called Go Girl http://www.go-girlenergy.com/detail.htm I had the sugar-free one & I was WIRED for the entire afternoon.

Its basically caffeine & fatburners. Also kosher and halaal I won't have it again, unless I'm not driving and I'm going to party or something. It was not refreshing - more like a jolting sensation. I liked the descriptions on the packaging though. Freakin hilarious stuff, like "If you're under 18 or pregnant, put the can down & back away slowly" and "L-Carnitine shapes your booty!"

Energy drinks don't seem to do anything for me. If I'm tired, I'm tired and I'm going to remain feeling ****ed the entire time.

Also, don't drink the Boost energy drinks being sold at Pick 'n Pay. I made the mistake once and it felt like my liver was dying on me.
