A few ears back I used ephedrine to keep we awake, it also worked great for gymming. But it has its side-effects, eg. sleeplessness, limp dick, etc etc. I need to know if there's anything else anyone uses to give them that extra 'edge' before going to gym? I know for a fact caffeine does not work for me, neither does any of these energy drinks like Red Bull or Play. Seems ephedrine was the only thing that could do that?
 
Drink lots of water. Lots of Coke seems to keep me awake for hours, even though I am tired. Most of these fancy pills that claim to provide energy etc never seem to work for me. So, I too, would like to know if there are some things that I can take.

Try Vita B and Complex injections.
 
if you want to try some supplements - BSN's N.O.-xplode is good.
has creatine in it. gives you a great pump and you have lots of focused energy... you also heal quicker.

Yep, indeed bad for the heart! The thing is, vitamins are a long term thing. They won't give you focussed energy. But the B complex injections do help with general fatigue though :)

Thanks. Will try that. I find that vitamins are somewhat of a solution to general fatigue, but not focused energy.

Contains norpseudoephedrine, a 'weaker' ester of ephedrine. Used a lot of those too. Now you can only buy them with a prescription. That's also the kind of stuff I won't touch again :D
 
Get one of those Italian coffee cookers and brew a mega strength blow-your-head-off cup of coffee before going to gym. I use the 10 expresso version of Biatti or whatever it's called and use Extra Strong ground coffee beans and make a mugful (about 5 cups) Works even when caffeine drinks don't help normally.
 
Eat your blood types food and avoid the types not on your list. You should be on a eating plan. Gym I use a spinkel of salt in water to hold back on water lost and help with blood flow.

Stay away from market gemics go buy body for life, see a doc and get a eating plan for your blood type. What you eat effects your sex life, you could have unkown food allergies like gluten that weakens you, well it did me so at gym time I almost fell asleep on the tredmill! I am very fit but I burn energy like crazy.
 
i agree with E-P here. You need to work on your diet and your sleeping, forget energy supplements. Ephedrine is bad news - it can give you heart palpitations and all kinds of stuff. Learn to drink a ton of water, cut right down on coffee (despite above advice), eat fruit, muesli, eggs, fish, chicken - healthy proteins and sugars. And get enough sleep at night! That means earlier to bed and earlier to rise on a regular basis. Nights out drinking or staying up until 2am on a weekend will wreak havoc on your energy levels.
 
I'd suggest giving MNI Neurovance (www.mnilifestyle.co.za) a try. Also, L-Theanine has apparently been proven to relax you without drowsiness. Something about getting your brainwaves into a relaxed state (not in the same range as during sleep). Kind of the same as brainwave entrainment, but in terms of using that for studying, definitely a case of YMMV

Why are people so obsessed witih popping pills and drinking concotions? It's not good for you and you have no idea what it's actually doing to your body. Stay away from that crap man. Be al natural!
