So ive always avoided the less premium brands of fuel.
I only use BP or Shell 95.

Anyway ive heard rumours that Engen 95 aids horsepower and fuel economy so I tried it.
On my 2nd tank at the moment and both times ive hit the 700km per tank mark!!!
I drive a 300HP hatch back and havent changed my driving style at all.
Im also able to comfortably change gears at 2000 - 2500rpm with ease!
I previously made 500-550 a tank with Shell 95.

Very impressed with Engen Primax 95, anyone use it over the premium brands?

Yes, I converted to Engen Primax as well. In the past I also only used BP or Shell. My car pops and burbles a lot more with Engen, and my avg consumption is down to 7.7L/100km. It's the bees knees, this stuff.

I never really thought different fuel was any different now days. Thought it was all basically the same.

My dad's dad and uncle always used to fill up with a specific brand only.

I had a sportier sound with Shell 95, but im enjoying the quiet and fuel savings with Engen.
Besides the car performs alot smoother on Engen and throttle response has increased dramatically!
Good to hear others also experience the same results as mine!

Me too, past 8 years ive only used Shell with the odd tank of BP.

I've used Engen 95 since beginning 2011 and only use other garages when I don't have an option. I can't really compare with other fuels, but it's good to know I was right by default

Nope, petrol price is regulated in SA, so you pay the same no matter what brand you put in.
