Engine carbon clean

I've found that the crank case vent valve that discharges the pressure back into the air intake line sometimes gets stuck with age/wear. A little bit of oil gets pushed through there, like miniscule droplets, and sits on the throttle body/butterfly flap.

I had that with my car, and every few months I'd get a low oil warning with no leaks and no apparent smoke from the exhaust. The car also started hesitating when I pull away, and even stalled when reversing out of the garage (uphill). It being an automatic car was quite concerning to me.

I cleaned the MAF with contact cleaner and butterfly flap (for lack of better name LOL) with carb cleaner. It's quite a mission, I did it in my garage at home and I'm not a mechanic nor do I have a tool for every job.

Once done, the car sounded weird when it started, sputtered a bit, but drove a hell of a lot better.

It's a long shot, but I had that with another car (BMW) about 18 years ago where it went into limp mode because of that. Out of desperation I did that, and it worked.

Maybe a long shot, but worth a try?
