Hi!

I am the blackberry admin at a large company , and often users bring a phone that does not have the enterprise activation option.
only after wiping the device, that option is back.
Does anyone know how to resolve it?
also, often when i do a device backup, i don't get a full backup, photos/bbm contacts are not being backed up.

Thanks,Bar1

Are you running BES, or BES Express? With BES Express, you can activate BIS phones using a USB cable, or using an app (BES Activation, or something like that). Normally the Enterprise Activation option depends on what's been enabled by the user's service provider.

When backing up, get the user to back up contacts in BBM online and on the SD card (it's under options). BBM 7 is tied to the BlackBerry ID, so I think backups work automatically in that. For photos, connect the phone with mass storage enabled, and back up the drive letter(s), as well as the usual BlackBerry Desktop backup.

Hi again!!!
can anyone please help?
every single phone that came to me this year (about 50), did not have the enterprise activation icon.

My fix is to download it from the app world, or wipe the device.

any idea why is it happening?

There's no BES activation icon, unless you are not on a BES contract, and you download the app.
