I stopped watching linear broadcasts (I think that is what they call them) when pvr's came out. That just progressed to dumping DSTV and using video on demand only. Even then I almost exclusively download to watch later. Some things I try and stream if they are x265.
I have been using Enterstream for a while now.
What I am using to stream is, ProgDVB their weblink is, http://www.progdvb.com/download_progdvb.html
Being one of the 1st to use a pc as a pvr back in the day, even before any lcd/led was on the market, using then a LG Flatron, PC input (see attached). I love using windows as an OS. Thus dont see the need for any android or kodi system, ProgDVB streams well and offers great EPG listings.
Enterstream have specials monthly, in fact the 6 months option was available at half price. meaning R83,25/pm.
Yes there are repeats, if you get bogged down on certain channels. My solution watch something else. There is a lot to watch - even sports (rugby, soccer and, and) even available series channels. Most offered HD & FHD.
The family is happy which means I am happy.
Is this the future? I would say yes. Is Enterstream the future? Time will tell.
Look there are other IPTv options but the most important is a good up and down speed of at least 10mbs, 20mbs plus no problems for a household of 4.
