EOH officially loses Microsoft partnership

EOH has released a SENS update announcing that, due to the expiry of the 30-day notice period given to it by Microsoft, it is officially no longer a reseller of Microsoft software licences.

“While we understand the need for Microsoft to interrogate and finalise their own investigations, we are disappointed at the unilateral manner in which Microsoft has terminated the relationship prior to giving consideration to the impact on South African corporates,” said EOH.

Every corporate nowadays market themselves today as the good guy. The media today has become a weapon, not only do you need to win your market share, but you also need to win their hearts. It is all about PR.

Bad business practice, maladministration and corruption are a non-issue when you can charm your way.

I don’t know what happened at EOH, but I am sure that MS did a thorough investigation. When EOH state the impact, this has on SA corporates, they need to realise the impact they themselves had on SA (and also other MS resellers). It is easy to move the goalposts.

Now it is time to clean your own house, strange how they only became aware of the ‘tainted’ contracts when they were anonymously whistle blown.
