EPL's 25 Man Squad Quota

That's already a requirement in the cl. So all clubs who played in europe this season will be fine.

BTW. For those who are unsure home grown doesn't mean brittish. Its any player who spend 3 seasons between the age of 15 and 21 at the club. Federation players is the same principle just he spend those 3 season at a club in the same national federation. For cl you need 4 homegrown players and 8 federation players.

From reading that link it seems the premier league one is even easier to meet. All you need is 8 federation players, from their definition home grown and federation is the same while it differs under uefa rules.

Thanks for clearing that up stefan. I did suspect it the same regulations as the UCL. I was just interested in what people thought, down to the fact that many fans are expecting their clubs i.e. Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and possibly Chelsea to be spending big on foreign players this summer. I know Spurs and Man City will also be looking at investing in their squads, and that usually means a few players in, and that doesn't leave much room in your squad if you're already operating with 25-32 squad members who are on well-paid recently signed on long term contracts (if any).
 
Well we've known about this for a while and the top brass for a while longer than us plebs innit... So no - I don't think it will change the top squads much - but it will stop the lower placed sides from overspending on rubbish foreign players.

Chelsea

Out: Ballack, Carvalho, Ferreira (though he was admirable in his patience and work-rate when coming in - just the type of squad player you'd want), Belletti, Hilario and Deco (that's five). So that's already six.

In: Hutchinson, Bruma, Ka.kuta from the youth team (maybe Stoch, but not certain - he has been linked with a move away). Anelka is, iirc, homegrown (thank you Mr. Wenger) as is Mikel (at least I think he is... not exactly sure on this one...) So I don't see it being too much of a problem.


Just one thing - does it mention squad changes in the mid season like ECL squad changes for the knockout stages?
