What are the options?

I have registered all my domain names with Uniforum for 75 bucks a year. What is the difference between legacy DNS and EPP?

Is it the move from IPv4 to IPv6?

I've seen EPP services quoted at R50pm. What is that?

Highly recommend moving across to the EPP platform. The benefits are substantial.

+1

Price and instant updates as opposed to 24 hour turnaround being the biggest two benefits to me.

@GreGorGy, our reseller pricing is, R50 for a .co.za domain registration / renewal and for the new .joburg, .durban & .capetown R225 per registration / renewal. (That excludes premium domains from the Registry.)

Move to domaincheap.co.za - Only R50 a domain. R43 if you load your account with funds :) Cheapest on the market.

Is that the entire cost of the domain?

R59 per year?

Instead of R75 for legacy?

Or am I missing something?

You are not missing anything, you are correct, domains on the new EPP system are cheaper than the old Legacy system. ZACR are making the old Legacy system more expensive so that these get moved to the new cheaper EPP system.

So how would I move my legacy domains to an EPP?

I can only speak of our system. As a customer on our website, you would do a regular transfer of the domain to us, this will initiate a Legacy to EPP migration. As a Reseller on our system, you can copy and paste all Legacy domains and this will also initiate a Legacy to EPP transfer.

For more info, PM me and we will gladly assist

Great, sounds good.

I've got 8 or 9 domains I need to move.
