Good afternoon everyone.

I am trying to buy a new Epson L550 multifunction printer for home/small office use. The only place I can see so far that sells it is Incredible Connection at around R5000.

I print roughly 1000 pages/month in mixed black and color.

I have been looking at the HP OfficeJet 8600 pro series (+-R3000) as well as the Epson WF Pro 4535 (+-3000) in this regard. Both of these work out to roughly 10c / page printing cost for black and somewhere around 15-20c /page for mixed color. (Excluding the cost of paper).

This new Epson L550 refill ink system comes in at around 5c/page printing cost or slightly less, with color pages coming to around 10c. With branded ink cartriges, the knockoff inks are even cheaper.

Amazing value for money, and REFILL friendly!

So any help in locating a seller of these printers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sorry, only picked up this thread when I googled this printer.

Did you eventually buy it, and if so are you happy? I'm also not able to make up my mind between this and the HP 8600.
