So we have finaly decided to enter Sunwell on Sunday and manage to kill Brutalus on our first evening out (3.1k dps with my hunter, that felt good!). Felmist were however quite a bit more tricky for us, and we had go back last night and finaly killed her after 3 hours of wiping.
We had an hour left to toy with the twins, but seems this instance really have a steep curve! The 30% nerfs are nice for progress, but guilds still need to be ontop of their tactics it seems.
We decided to kill the Shadow twin first, but the conflag simply kills us way to fast. We are following the bosskilers guide of standing on the balcony, and people with conflag running away, it aint that simple though or people are just to slow to respond. Any tips from the esteemed SW raiders would be appreciated.

we also use that strategy. (i think) we recently switched over to killing fire twin first (i am a resto shaman, and sunwell is basically staring at grid and spamming chain heals, so i kinda dont know whats happening on the frontline)

but generally people need to wake up and run on conflag. it works, and its simple, provided your fellow raiders have some vague evidence of brain activity.

We've swung both ways with it,taking Alythess before Sarcolash down seems to work easier for us though. It is an incredibly Healing sensitive fight and people need to move

This was pre-nerf. Haven't gone back since

We kill sacrolash first, but its all about wearing your PVP trinket and ofc standing in a very specific spot on the balcony with your back against the wall, but you should NOT be facing the twins directly. Keep your view angle towards the opposite wall if you are standing with your back against the wall.

That way if you get conflag (which is only relevant to the first 6 ppl on the threat list), you run forward with a slight strafe towards the left side, outside to the doorway where you pop your trinket if you get conflag.

OFC you should be using DBM since the Big bad wolf alert warning will play "run away little girl, run away" when you get the conflag.
Try and focus more on the alerts on the screen from the boss mods, than keeping an eye on the twins ... you as DPS class should not be worried at all about their positioning, the tanks should sort that out. There is NOTHING you should be worried about, other than conflag. Nuke her down, and then jump down to finish the second sister. The conflag is the big raid killer. With the current nerfs you should be able to clear her in 3 / 4 attempts.

Note if you are human the new racial > pvp trink :)

Thanks for the usefull tips! I were using Bigwigs ofc for raid warnings, and manage to move away real fast when conflaged, but forgot to trinket out of it ;) and had no heals on our first attemt. I guess we need to just practise this a few nights, the encounters may be nerfed to hell but it require exactly the same alertness as before.

We had 5 great raiding days.

Vashj, Alor and KT - Wednesday
BT up to Council - Thursday
Kara (1 hour 18 mins), gruull and maggy - Friday (not a raiding day, so it was a semi-pug raid)
BT Finish-up and MH - Sunday
SWP Killed Brut and a quick look in on Felmyst - Monday
Theusday - Felmyst

Not bad - IF someone was lucky this week, and got all the drops he could have gotten a Full T4 and Full T6 (8/8) from the drops.

Bloody hell gief guild

awesome raiding indeed. at this stage we do swp main raids and then BT and MH alt raids, quite fun and nice change of scenery. i dont have 70 alts but different spec is awesome

simple thing , the conflag wont kill you to soon IF you react on your own, lemme put it this way if you haven't moved before they call it out on ventrillo then it is to late, phase 1 = nuke the **** out of the boss move if you have conflag SAVE your trinket for shadowfury + conflag, phase 2 = stand on his ass make sure your warlock runs to the raid when you get shadowfury and its a kill.

It's actually quite boring, but fun at the same time. We almost cleared BT in 1 night (only Illidan standing), where it used to take us 3 days to get to mother.

Hopefully SWP will be a bit more challenging until WotLK.
